Beginner’s Guide to Lactation

Three hour in-person class to learn about the process of human lactation and feeding your baby.

Registration is for 2 people. Class is limited to 4 pairs.

For those that are single-parenting, one family member or friend may accompany your registration. This class is great for first-parents, or support people who want to have up-to-date information.

This class is great for first-parents who are planning to use their body to feed their infants, and are looking for an accessible introduction.


This class will cover many topics including:

  • bodily mechanics of milk production

  • feeding positions

  • why a good latch matters and how to help your baby latch

  • equipment that can be helpful

  • how to support the feeding relationship and how partners or friends can help

  • and more!

Your instructor, Tanesha Gunn is a skilled certified lactation consultant, with years of experience as a doula, and helping with lactation support.
