In this 3-hour class, birth educator, herbalist, and holistic birth and postpartum doula Coté Garceau Saez, will guide pregnant parents in understanding and preparing for the often forgotten postpartum period.
With a special focus on the concept of “La Cuarentena”, a Latin American tradition of care, this class will provide knowledge and practical skills to support parents in their postpartum journey, beyond just the physical care, but also nurturing their emotional and mental well-being.
At this class, you will:
- Learn about the cultural and social importance of La Cuarentena
- Understand the importance of self-care and community support
- Discuss the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of the postpartum experience.
- Get an introduction to gentle herbs traditionally used for postpartum care and their benefits
- Explore warming recipes and traditional dishes that help in the body's recovery process
- Have a hands-on experience creating herbal recipes to take home for use during postpartum
-Understand the importance of celebration and closing
