Where We Start
We are delighted to serve individuals and families looking for a friendly space full of compassionate, evidence-based care. For those excited to plan their birth at our center, we want to hear from you! We will spend the first appointment going over your medical history and discuss if we are a good fit for the birth you have imagined.
Nurturing A Relationship
Health care is broken in the United States, and we know part of our duty is to re-establish trust. Our midwives are skilled and experienced with the traditional hospital setting and see how rushing adds to the harm that can be done by providers. We won’t rush you. We won’t interrupt you. We want to be in a relationship with you, not have power over you.
Ongoing Support
Through every step of your care with us, we will listen and meet you where you are. If you are experiencing anxiety before giving birth, need emotional and physical care during labor and after, or are feeling at a loss for coping methods once you are home, we want to know. Our aftercare is ongoing, and we care about your experience.
Safety by the Numbers at
Birth Centers
In a study of the Birth Center model, done in 2013, 15,574 birthing persons were included in a study of outcomes, methods of being born, transfer rates, and maternal mortality. The study found that of those in the study, 84% went on to give birth in the birth center, 4% transferred care before they were admitted to the birth center, and 12% transferred after admission. Regardless of where they gave birth, 93% of those participants had a spontaneous vaginal birth, 1% had an assisted vaginal birth, and 6% had a cesarean birth.
